BY CAR
If you’re using satellite navigation to travel to the University of Sunderland, please use the following postcode. (Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter’s: SR6 0DD). The Sir Tom Cowie Campus has two large car parks: one next to the Reg Vardy Centre, and one next to The David Goldman Informatics Centre. The National Glass Centre also has a car park. It is designated as Visitor Parking only.
BY TRAIN
If you are planning to travel by train you can come to Sunderland main train station (Athenaeum Street, SR1 1RR) or to St. Peter’s train station (Beachwood Terrace, SR2 7LX), which is the closest one to Sir Tom Cowie Campus.
BY PLANE
The closest airport is the Newcastle International Airport (approx. 30 minutes by car). From there you can use the metro (it connects the Airport with Newcastle and Sunderland) till St. Peter’s metro and train station. From this station the university in within five minutes’ walk. The cost by using metro is £5.20 (Daily Cap). Alternatively, the cost by taxi is approximately £40.
